These Terms of Service govern your use of www.mtfs-cpa.com (the "Site"), operated by Moore Tax & Financial Services, Inc. ("MTFS," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Informational Purposes Only

Content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes. It is not tax, accounting, legal, financial, or investment advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice tailored to your situation. Tax laws and regulations change often, and information on the Site may not reflect the most current rules.

Before acting on any information found here, consult a qualified professional who can review your specific facts and circumstances.

3. No Client Relationship

Using the Site, submitting a contact form, sending us an email, or calling our office does not create an accountant-client relationship. A client relationship begins only when MTFS and you have both signed a written engagement letter. Until then, please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through the Site or by email.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected system; interfere with the Site's operation; upload viruses or harmful code; or use automated tools to scrape or collect content without our written permission.

5. Client Portal

The Client Portal linked from the Site is provided through Canopy, a third-party service, and is available only to current MTFS clients. Your use of the portal may also be subject to Canopy's terms and privacy policy.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us right away at 817.244.8624 or mike@mtfs-cpa.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information shared through the portal, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, and design, is owned by MTFS or its licensors and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may view and print Site content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or republish it without our prior written consent.

7. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to websites operated by others, such as government agencies, mapping services, or software providers. We provide these links for convenience only. We do not control or endorse third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses, or that its content is complete, accurate, or current.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MTFS and its owners, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any information on it. This includes any decision made or action taken in reliance on Site content.

Services provided under a signed engagement letter are governed by the terms of that engagement letter, not this section.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MTFS and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect information you provide. As a CPA firm, we treat client information as confidential in accordance with applicable professional standards and law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page and changing the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in full effect.
